Update: Danhausen has crushed his $25k goal thanks to some huge donations from heavy-hitters in pro wrestling.

Original: Danhausen is looking for little help from his fanhausens. After the very nice, very evil wrestler suffered a broken leg during an independent event in Tennessee, he informed fans that he would need surgery. Now, a GoFundMe has been started to help Danhausen with his medical bills.

According to the GoFundMe page, which lists Donovan Danhausen as an organizer, the wrestler will need to hire an aid to help him with his various convention and wrestling appearances. While Danhausen will not be able to wrestle for some time, he wants to continue to fulfill his bookings.

“While he is able to do his signings, he will be unable to wrestle which makes up the majority of his income. In addition to the nature of the injury, he must do treatments, surgery , and rehab in the United States and will be unable to travel back to his home in Canada to his wife and step-daughter for the upcoming months. This news has been absolutely devastating to Danhausen and his family and your help is greatly appreciated.”

Danhausen’s wife, Lou Lou la Duchesse de Riere, retweeted the announcement of the fundraiser which was first shared by former Impact Wrestling Knockouts champion Su Yung. Danhausen himself then retweeted it. Just an hour after being posted, the GoFundMe had raised over $2,000 with a $25,000 goal.

The top donor at this time, with a $1,000 donation is Cody Ford. Ford is the owner and promoter of New Generation Wrestling, the promotion where Danhausen’s injury occurred. Throughout the day, we will almost certainly see other names from the wrestling industry join the list.

Danhausen was recently released by Ring of Honor when the entire roster was cut at once. He is one of the top merchandise sellers on ProWrestlingTees and runs a popular YouTube channel. We wish Danhausen a very quick, very evil recovery!
