Former WWE Superstar Kalisto, who goes by Samuray del Sol now, was recently dragged by Chris Jericho. The world of pro wrestling was recently shocked by the passing away of Brodie Lee.

Kalisto was among the many who paid their respects to Lee. However, in his tweet about Lee, Kalisto misspelled his real name, Jon, as “John.” This was enough to set off Jericho, who replied to the tweet pointing out the error. Lee’s wife, Amanda Huber also agreed with Jericho.

I feel like it’s reasonable to expect a level of respect of spelling someone’s name right if you want to name drop them.

Now, a Twitter user has discovered a series of tweets shared by Miro, in which he made a similar mistake, but nobody seemed to have an issue with it. This has caused fans to speak out against the double standard.

Miro calls Brodie “Brody”, there’s no problem Kalisto calls Jon “John”, there’s a problem??

Another Twitter user pointed out the ridiculousness of the whole scenario, speaking of Jericho and Huber, that “they’re going crazy” over Kalisto saying John instead of Jon. Another user pondered the cause of the double standard.

It’s 100% racism. Or the fact that Kalisto isn’t signed. But ima take the first one and run w it

Whatever the cause of this double standard is, it is undeniable that Kalisto is facing unfair amounts of criticism for a seemingly trivial error that anyone could have made. Check out the tweets below.
