ROH shocked the pro wrestling world when it was reported that the company is reimagining itself. They are also cutting all contracted wrestlers and will run the promotion like an indie company from this point on. A lot of changes are coming for ROH, but the company isn’t closing down for good.

Joe Koff held a Zoom call with the roster to let them know about these changes. It was reported by PW Insider that several people asked Koff straight-up during the meeting if the company is closing for good.

“We are told by numerous Ring of Honor talents that on the Zoom call this week, numerous talents called upon Joe Koff to tell them that the promotion was over, if it was actually closing.”

ROH is not closing their doors, but they are going on a hiatus. The company will also maintain their weekly television show on Sinclair by running best-of specials. Once the company returns they will air footage from their indie shows in place of their old weekly show with contracted talent.

We will have to see how everything turns out in 2022, but ROH is going away for a while. They will be back, but their roster of talent could be very different.
