Bryan Danielson left WWE and soon ended up in AEW, but there were some in Vince McMahon’s company who weren’t sure he was actually leaving due to how he departed from the company. There were no issues and he remained totally professional the entire time, in fact, Daniel Bryan was a model employee on his way out of the company.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Bryan Danielson’s contract status was known among those calling the shots backstage. The possibility of Bryan winning the 2021 Royal Rumble match was also never really discussed. They also had a very good idea that he wouldn’t be around for WrestleMania.

It was also remarked that everyone spoke highly about the way Bryan Danielson exited the company.

WWE sources tell us they were well aware that his deal was coming up soon when that was booked, and spoke highly of Bryan Danielson’s professionalism in working with Roman Reigns and making their match as good as possible on the way out. One source said that “Bryan handled things so well that a lot of people didn’t think he was actually leaving or taking any time off. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
