This year’s WWE Draft did quite a bit of a number on the title reigns and those that hold them. It would seem, however, that there may be a new development regarding Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

Many champions in WWE are currently in odd spots, especially considering the titles they hold, or rather are going after. For example, Drew McIntyre is vying for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel, but he’s been drafted to SmackDown.

The current direction he’s headed in would lead many to believe that he will undoubtedly lose, allowing Big E to retain. After all, Big E was drafted to Raw. The same kind of situation is in the cards for Charlotte Flair it would seem, although she was drafted to SmackDown despite the fact that she holds the Raw Women’s Championship.

Fans are still still scratching their heads on that one. But Fightful Select reports that there has been speculation that Flair might be added to the SmackDown Women’s Title match at WWE Crown Jewel. However, she is not on the run sheet at press time.

Based on those we’ve spoken to, she has not been listed internally for the show, and was not seen by several we asked who traveled to Saudi Arabia.

The speculation going into Crown Jewel now is that Charlotte may be added to Thursday’s Smackdown Women’s Title match which features and is pitting Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair against one another. That doesn’t appear to be happening. So, Flair will go to SmackDown as RAW Women’s Champion.

According to the aforementioned report, Flair has yet to be seen traveling with the rest of the troop to Saudi Arabia, but that doesn’t mean much. WWE knows very well how to keep a secret, especially these days.

The move would certainly make sense, as the title does belong on RAW quite obviously. This means that Belair or Lynch can be granted a run with that title, and Sasha or Charlotte can walk away with the SmackDown title.

It’s still a tad confusing, but we’ll stay on it and report any news as it happens. The logistics still need to be worked out over this matter, on WWE’s part, if they haven’t already. Stay tuned.
