WWE held another draft recently and those rosters are about to go into effect on Friday’s episode of SmackDown on October 22nd. Charlotte Flair will officially be on SmackDown and she’s taking the Raw Women’s Title with her. The fact that WWE traded The Queen for Becky Lynch wasn’t the most well-received choice backstage.

Ringside News was told that Fox has been trying to get Charlotte Flair on SmackDown since their deal started. She was even heavily featured during Fox promos for SmackDown prior to their debut on the network in hopes that she would be team blue.

A tenured member of the creative team told us that the Flair and Lynch trade was a popular point of discussion this week. Specifically, “how Raw gets Becky (who everyone likes) and SmackDown gets Charlotte (who is not popular behind the scenes).”

We will have to see what WWE does with their Women’s Titles. Becky Lynch is set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title at WWE Crown Jewel in a triple threat match against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. Out of all those women, The Boss is the only one who will be on the blue brand when Friday rolls around.

Ringside News also exclusively reported on a unique layover situation en route to Saudi Arabia that is getting a lot of attention backstage. Needless to say, there are a few things being discussed backstage in WWE these days.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
