Cody Rhodes To Debut In New Tag Team As Masked Luchador

According to Cody Rhodes, this isn’t even ‘a thing,’ or so he’ll have you believe, but reports suggest that he will in fact be joining AEW star Fuego Del Sol in a tandem and they’re set to go face to face with another team at the Dark: Elevation tapings set to record this upcoming Sunday.

According to said speculation, the tandem will be known as “Too Fast Too Fuego.” In the graphics that were made for the match, Fuego is shown next to a masked wrestler that looks a lot like Rhodes, but the massive hint is the ‘Dream’ chest tattoo just under the strap of the pictured wrestler’s tights strap.

Rhodes has been in a storyline that has had him lose to Malakai Black two times and quite badly. Arn Anderson is seemingly quite disappointed in him and despite Rhode’s refusal to go dark, it’s a big question right now as to just what will happen for the character.

Fuego has been having quite the run since being signed and it’s unclear as to what plans may be with this angle and team featuring Rhodes, and does it have anything at all to do with Cody Rhode’s ongoing storyline with Arn and Black?

Regardless, the match should draw quite a bit of attention for Dark, as many will probably tune in, or rather I should say, click to watch the goings on, and really, even if it doesn’t have anything to do with the big picture, it should undoubtedly be a treat for fans of fast-paced action.
