Adam Cole’s contributions to NXT after making his debut back in 2017 cannot be understated. He competed in several of the brand’s best matches and helped shape NXT for 4 years. It seems The Young Bucks believe WWE was crazy for letting Adam Cole leave the company.

Adam Cole was done with NXT after TakeOver 36 and shortly after that, Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired, making him free agent. On top of that, he didn’t sign another contract with WWE.

In the end, Adam Cole decided that he wanted to be All Elite and so made his debut at AEW All Out and utterly shocked the pro wrestling world to its core. He also teamed up with The Young Bucks already.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Matt and Nick Jackson talked about Adam Cole joining AEW and how it has benefitted the locker room. Nick Jackson stated that it was crazy that WWE let Adam Cole leave.

I can’t fully express the happiness I currently have, sharing a ring with Adam Cole again. His positivity and energy had really helped the morale in our locker room. I haven’t stopped smiling since he showed up. When he arrived, it felt like we finally found that missing piece of the puzzle. The whole gang is finally back together. We hadn’t worked together in five years, but the chemistry was still there. The dude is a star and getting some of the biggest reactions I’ve ever heard.

I’m still trying to figure that out. But even crazier than resurrecting the dead is letting a superstar walk away from your company to join the competition.”

Adam Cole is certainly happy to be working in AEW as he gets to be with his old friends and also girlfriend Britt Baker. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Adam Cole as AEW Full Gear will take place next month.
