nZo is trying to climb back onto the national stage. The former WWE wrestler known then as Enzo Amore has recently been teased as a potential new wrestler for MLW. In a storyline within the promotion, matchmaker Cesar Duran (formerly kayfabe Lucha Underground boss Dario Cueto) said that he’s talking to the former WWE tag team specialist.

Now 34-years-old, nZo has mostly been working the northeast independent circuit. He has been wrestling mostly for Northeast Wrestling. Despite the regional name, NEW regularly draws crowds of over 1000.

After a sexual assault accusation in 2018, nZo was let go by WWE. The Phoenix Police Department eventually stopped their investigation of the allegations because they had insufficient evidence. No charges were ever filed against Enzo Amore and his accuser disappeared.

MLW recently held their first nationally televised card. Fightland aired on Vice TV on October 7. The company has been attempting to attract more well-known talent. The promotion recently announced the signing of the talented international star Will Ospreay.

NZO replied to post from MLW with the classic “look” emoji. Apparently, he is teasing some possible plans.

During his WWE run, nZo wrestled alongside partner Big Cass (now William Morrissey). The two most recently paired up for a poorly-received surprise appearance at the New Japan G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden in 2019. Ring of Honor quickly abandoned the angle.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass were incredibly popular during their NXT run. They were voted tag team of the year in the 2014 NXT Year-End Awards. Now, it looks like nZo is ready for his national comeback.

How do you think nZo will do as a member of the MLW roster? Let us know in the comments below!
