Drew McIntyre was drafted to SmackDown as part of the WWE draft. McIntyre has been immediately put in the Universal Championship picture with Roman Reigns. However it appears McIntyre has his eyes on more than just Reigns.

At WrestleMania 36 Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar to win his first ever WWE Championship. Drew’s historic victory was unfortunately in front of no fans as WrestleMania was without fans due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drew appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he discussed his desire to have a rematch with Lesnar in front of fans. Drew said that that Lesnar is among the best and how he would like to face him in front of a live crowd.

“I’m always excited to get into the ring with the absolute best. There’s not many that are as good or as physical as Brock Lesnar, at WrestleMania, I did defeat him in five minutes. But I would like the opportunity to face Brock again and in front of a live audience.”

The future regarding the Universal title picture is far from clear. However, it appears that Drew McIntyre as part of the SmackDown roster would like to conquer the beast once more, in front of the live crowd he didn’t get at WrestleMania.
