Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He is also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega.
After a long hiatus from AEW television, Adam Page made his return to the company during last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Page was revealed to be the Joker in the Casino ladder match and went on to win the match.
Due to this, Adam Page is now promised a future opportunity for Kenny Omega’s AEW World Championship. While many fans want to see Page win the title, it seems a pro wrestling legend isn’t one of them.
While speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about Adam Page returning and stated that his time has come and gone and that Page shouldn’t win the AEW World Championship.
“If he had stuck around, they may have put the belt around him. In hindsight, that would have been a drastic error because they have just brought Bryan Danielson.
Page’s time has come and gone. And in actuality it was already gone to anybody with a lick of sense many months ago, when he booked to ride job guys and kids in masks around. That doomed him there, his presentation throughout this whole thing. The only people that would buy into him as a World Champion are those who buy everything they [the company] do.”
We will have to wait and see if AEW truly will pull the trigger on Adam Page and have him defeat Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship or not.
