Becky Lynch Asked The Rock’s Permission To Use His Finisher Before WWE SummerSlam

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also businessman and a very conniving one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.

Becky Lynch made her return at WWE SummerSlam where she shockingly defeated Bianca Belair in just 26 seconds with a Manhandle Slam to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Since her return, The Man remained a heel and it was something she herself requested. Becky Lynch also has very interesting take regarding her heel turn in WWE.

While speaking on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin, Becky Lynch revealed that she called The Rock before WWE SummerSlam and asked him for permission to use his finisher.

“So I used a variation of The Rock Bottom before but it’s just easier to get it and go. I asked The Rock if I could use it and he was very gracious and said that I could.”

“Called him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I told him how SummerSlam is gonna go down. And said, ‘Look, here’s what I’m thinking. I’m supposed to hit one move on her. Can I use this?’ ‘Yeah!'”

Becky Lynch is set to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks at WWE Crown Jewel on October 21st in Saudi Arabia. It remains to be seen whether she will be able to retain the title or not.
