WWE released Braun Strowman from his $1.2 million per year contract in an attempt to clear huge budget item off their bottom line. He was not the only high-dollar contract that they cut at the same time as others like Lana also commanded a huge payday. Unlike Lana, there are rumors that WWE could be interested in bringing Braun Strowman back, albeit for a lower contract. If that was the case then it would have already taken place.

Strowman wrestled his first match after his WWE release, a pay-per-view bout against EC3 as part of his Free The Narrative series. There are also rumors that Impact Wrestling is very interested in bringing him in. He has also spoken to AEW, but WWE has no interest in re-signing the Monster Among Men.

Ringside News asked around about the rumor concerning Braun Strowman’s possible WWE return. We were told by a tenured member of the team that “if WWE made any offer to Braun Strowman, he would be back in the fold immediately.” Obviously, that has not happened.

We were additionally told that, “There has been no offer, and there is no interest” in brining back Braun Strowman. His 90-day non-compete clause expired, and now he is off to his next adventure in pro wrestling.

Adam Scherr’s time in pro wrestling is not over yet, but he is not getting an invite back to WWE at this point. This should squelch the rumor mill that has been churning on overtime in recent memory.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
