WWE ended their Extreme Rules event this year with Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor. It seemed that The Demon was going to amp himself up enough to win the match and take Reigns’ Universal Title. Then the ring broke and Balor went spilling to the canvas. New fan footage from the event blew the lid off how WWE pulled off this that trick.

Fan footage from the Columbus crowd shows that a person appearing to work as a camera person seemed to cut the tope rope. A new fan video is circulating that was taken from the crowd and it seems that WWE was caught red handed.

When the video is zoomed in, it appears as if this “camera person” was holding a knife. That was presumably used to cut the top rope which caused the turnbuckle Balor was standing on to collapse.

This video went viral overnight and it seems that the entire event plays out from this fan’s viewpoint. It is very interesting and gives WWE even more reason to prohibit filming the event from the crowd. They took very careful care not to show that cameraman on screen during Extreme Rules, but he got plenty of a spotlight in this video.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
