The Band ‘Europe’ Made Outrageous Demands For AEW To Use ‘The Final Countdown’

Bryan Danielson is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, as he has competed in several promotions over the years and honed his craft before making name for himself in WWE as well. Danielson made his debut at AEW All Out and instantly raised the stock of the company.

Danielson made it clear that he made his way to AEW so that he could wrestle and nothing more than that. He went with AEW in the end as he thought it was the best thing for the pro wrestling business.

Before making his AEW debut, many fans wanted him to use The Final Countdown’ as his theme song, which was his entrance theme during his time in Ring Of Honor. However, that didn’t happen for a good reason.

While speaking to Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, Bryan Danielson asked about his former entrance theme and why he couldn’t use it in AEW. Ultimately, it came down to Europe making outrageous demands for the right to use the song.

”We had talked about ‘The Final Countdown,’ but that was way too expensive,” said Danielson. “I hate talking business stuff when I don’t exactly know what it was, but it wasn’t just the amount of money. They would only let [AEW] play it like 20 times a year or something like that. For several $100,000 you can play ‘Final Countdown’ 20 times a year. That doesn’t work for us.”

In the end, Bryan Danielson went with an entrance theme composed by his friend Elliott Taylor and it will remain his theme song for the foreseeable future.
