The Riott Squad are no more in WWE as Liv Morgan is the only remaining member. The company released Sarah Logan in 2020 and Ruby Riott was cut the next year. It turns out that the company didn’t have the biggest plan for the stable to begin with.

Ruby Riott is now in AEW, but Sarah Logan has not returned to the ring since having her child. Many WWE fans miss the Riott Squad for a multitude of reasons, but they got more out of the faction than WWE planned.

Talk Is Jericho recently spoke to Ruby Soho when WWE’s initial plans for her stable came up. She doubts that McMahon saw the Suicide Squad movie at all, and there were also intentions to break up the stable very early on.

“From what I was told, we weren’t supposed to be together for very long,” Soho revealed. “We were supposed to debut together and then kind of split, but they liked us together, and we loved being together. And I think that was one of the things because we didn’t think we were gonna last very long. We didn’t change our individual characters and we just kind of tried to get them to mesh together instead of, oh, we’re gonna try to make each other a faction. We’re like, okay, if we’re gonna get split up, we’re gonna stay who we are. And I think that’s what helped us is we had three individual characters that made sense somehow in a weird way that actually accented each other.”

The Riott Squad formed a real bond in WWE and the company gave them a much longer run. We’ll never know what would have happened if WWE broke them up as planned, but fans never would have realized how much capability the Riott Squad had as a team. Perhaps fans will see them reunite someday, but the three members are doing their own things now.
