WWE released many Superstars from their rosters over the past year and that opened up some big opportunities for AEW. Others like Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole found themselves in AEW after their WWE deals expired. No matter how they arrived in AEW, their locker room is filling with ex WWE talent in a big way.

AEW Botches, a Twitter account that the company has tried to take down in the past, tweeted out a very interesting piece of information. In the past six months, AEW has signed 15 wrestlers to contracts, and 12 of them are former WWE or WWE NXT Superstars.

In the last 6 months @AEW has signed 15 wrestlers to the men’s roster out of which 12 are EX-WWE…If you are an indie talent, your best shot of getting signed with #AEW is via @WWE

Tony Khan made a point to say that he is not going to sign up every WWE Superstar on the free agent market. That is true, because plenty of released Superstars are still without a pro wrestling home. That didn’t stop him from picking the ones he wanted to fill up his roster.
