WWE will sometimes change up Superstar’s name throughout their career. It is rare that a wrestler gets their name changed multiple times before their television debut.

Parker Boudreaux, also called Brock Lesnar look-alike, received the name Gunnar Harland prior to his in-ring debut. That name didn’t last very long at all, because Gunnar lost his first name already.

Parker’s new NXT name is just “Harland.” This is a bit of a change, but it also falls in line with Vince McMahon’s love of strong one-word two-syllable names.

Parker Boudreaux is not the first WWE Superstar to receive a name change, and he likely won’t be the last. We have not heard whether he will get to keep the “Destroyer of Gods” moniker that he was previously using, but his name will be a lot easier to remember now.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
