AEW Dynamite beat WWE Raw in the 18 to 49 demographic in the fallout after All Out. The company then moved up WWE Title match between Bobby Lashley and Randy Orton to this week’s Raw. Some said this was an instance of reactionary booking, but we can confirm WWE had other reasons.

Ringside News asked around about WWE changing their plans due to AEW Dynamite edging Raw out in the key demographic last week. We were told by a tenured member of the creative team that AEW did not play into WWE’s decision to alter their plans.

We were told, “There are other reasons why the title match is being moved to Monday, and it has nothing to do with AEW.”

As Ringside News previously reported “WWE books in reaction to big football games. World Series. Olympics. College football. It’s not limited to AEW.” The company is in worldwide competition with all sorts of external forces, not just All Elite Wrestling. Still, we can confirm that WWE’s decision to move up the WWE Title match is not in response to AEW Dynamite’s performance last week.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
