Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion. He also has good relationship with Vince McMahon. McIntyre also has a hilarious reason for all the stories he tells.

Drew McIntyre was released from WWE back in 2014 and made a name for himself in the independent circuit before returning to the company a few years later. He especially had a solid run in Impact Wrestling during that time.

Drew McIntyre returned to WWE back in 2017 as part of NXT and even won the NXT Championship until he was called up to the main roster in 2018.

While speaking with ITR Wrestling, Drew McIntyre revealed that he considered moving to Japan, but after having a conservation with Triple H, he decided to return to WWE.

“I wouldn’t be back in WWE if it wasn’t for Triple H, it’s as simple as that. William Regal put me on the phone with him, we talked for 40 minutes, within that conversation at the beginning I wasn’t sure if I was going to come back, I was honestly leaning more towards Japan and by the end of it, I was 100% coming back,

It remains to be seen what is next in store for Drew McIntyre after his feud with Jinder Mahal ended back at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
