Jeff Hardy’s current plight on Monday Night RAW led many to believe that the company has given up on pushing him. Fans also vented about his booking on social media.

It even came to a point that his brother Matt Hardy talked about the subject of his poor booking in the company. Despite all that, Jeff Hardy made it clear that he is simply there to do his job and that is all that he cares about.

While speaking was on the Wrestling Inside the Ropes podcast, Jeff Hardy talked about his goals in WWE. Hardy revealed that he wants to become the WWE Universal Champion once before he retires.

Jeff Hardy added that he wants to face off against Roman Reigns for the title as it would be a proper dream match for him before he ends his career for good.

“My number one goal is definitely to be the Universal Champion one time before my career is over. I don’t know how much longer I have and I’m very much living like day to day here now. So I just want to entertain people. It’s exciting to be back in front of the live audiences.

It’s just so powerful man. Every time I watch SmackDown, I love the Usos and the whole Head of the Table thing. The Tribal Chief is so strong you know. That’s definitely a dream match – the dream match I have for my career. I’ve never been in the ring head-to-head with Roman Reigns. So that’s on my bucket list for sure and it can be a very beautiful encounter.

It remains to be seen whether Jeff Hardy will ever win the WWE Universal Championship as it seems highly unlikely at this point in time.
