Vince McMahon Did Not Attend WWE SmackDown This Week

Vince McMahon is usually backstage at WWE television shows, making sure that the ship runs as he sees fit. If he ever has to miss show, modern technology helps him maintain that control.

Ringside News has learned that Vince McMahon was absent from SmackDown this week. He was still “on the phone all day long in control.” The show went as he instructed, even in his absence.

It was not noted why Vince McMahon missed SmackDown, but he wasn’t there at all on Friday. That being said, he remained in constant contact.

WWE did a lot of planning for their Madison Square Garden show next week. Brock Lesnar is returning and they are running a SummerSlam rematch with Seth Rollins vs Edge. That will be a big show as WWE returns to the World’s Most Famous Arena.

We will have to see if Vince McMahon’s absence continues on Raw next week, but he wasn’t around SmackDown on Friday.
