Cesaro and Seth Rollins faced off this week in a SummerSlam rematch, but it didn’t end well for the Swiss Superman. Rollins did a post-match beatdown on Cesaro and that resulted in Edge’s return to the blue brand to run off Rollins. The damage was already done prior to that point.

During WWE’s Talking Smack, it was revealed that Cesaro suffered a “Cervical strain.” This was a storyline injury, but we will have to see how long they milk it and keep him out of action.

Cesaro was off television for a few weeks and just recently returned. He receives a good reaction from live fans who respect his work in the ring and how he is one of the best in the company in terms of work rate. Sadly, that didn’t put him over Rollins this week.
