AEW is in the mood to sign big names and they proved that by inking deals with CM Punk and more to come. Bryan Danielson is expected at All Out, and Ruby Soho will join him. Kurt Angle also fielded an offer from AEW, but he wasn’t interested.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Angle revealed that AEW has actually offered him “a couple” of contracts. They were apparently different deals, but he obviously didn’t take them up on those offers.

“Yes, they offered me a couple of different contracts. I turned it down for personal reasons, but Tony Khan’s been really nice to me, very generous, and I really appreciate his interest in having me there. But at this particular time, I can’t do it.”

It was previously reported that AEW offered Angle a contract for “another run,” but he turned that down. It’s nice to know that he seemingly has an open door to wrestle again, but he’s not taking them up on that deal right now.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
