NXT Superstars Compete In Dark Matches Before WWE SmackDown

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured memorable moments including Baron Corbin debuting new character. On top of that, Becky Lynch also cut scathing promo after her actions at WWE SummerSlam.

Prior to the start of the show, WWE NXT Superstars and more worked dark matches. The first match saw Cal Bloom beat Austin Theory. Bloom is former WWE and AWA star Wayne Bloom’s son, who is better known as Beau Beverly of The Beverly Brothers. He started out in WWE back in March 2019.

The second match featured Xia Li and Kacy Catanzaro square off against Aliyah and Dakota Kai. Li and Catanzaro won the match. Aliyah and Li have been absent from NXT TV due to rumored imminent main roster call-ups.

The dark main event after the end of the show featured Finn Balor and The Street Profits beating WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. There is no doubt that fans had a great time watching all the dark matches before and after the show.
