Vince McMahon is the Chairman of WWE and oversees everything that goes on in the company, right down to the most minute of details. He is also behind the recent mass releases in NXT, actions Triple H has no say in whatsoever. McMahon is larger than life and is known to do the craziest of things, many of which are true. It seems Tony Khan believes McMahon cares about AEW.

For the past few months, AEW made strides in the pro wrestling world thanks to the company signing major WWE talent and giving them a better place to work in and express themselves creatively.

There are many that believe WWE doesn’t care what AEW does and they focus on their own product, but Tony Khan sees it different from the looks of it.

While speaking on the Le Batard and Friends Network podcast, AEW President Tony Khan stated that he believes Vince McMahon does care about AEW and what they do, contrary to popular belief.

“He does care. I read a lot of books about Vince. I’ve never met Vince. There was a time when he was building his company in the ’80s. I’ve tried to undertake a similar amount of work, in terms of shouldering a ton of responsibility and taking a ton of one-on one-meetings. You hear about Vince going to convince Hulk Hogan, going to convince individual people to come in and work for the WWF, convincing a sponsor to come on. Vince was taking all these meetings and all this responsibility, and he was a similar age to me, and I think I’m inspired by that,”

AEW has a world of momentum on their side right now and with AEW All Out just around the corner, we will have to see if the company can capitalize on it or not as fans are eagerly waiting for what will happen next.
