Becky Lynch returned to WWE at SummerSlam, and fans were very happy to see her until they figured out how WWE booked the situation. Her name trended on social media as fans complained about how new heel Lynch squashed Bianca Belair.

Ringside News was given a timeline of events that led up to Becky Lynch’s SummerSlam return, and there were multiple changes along the way. The company’s original intention was for her to return around the next WWE Draft, but those plans changed.

A tenured member of the creative team confirmed to us that, “Becky was scheduled for the show about 10 days out of the show,” but that plan changed and she was “moved off the show.”

Sasha Banks was then pulled from her SummerSlam match and that called for another alteration. The company continued promoting Banks vs Belair knowing the match wasn’t taking place while plans changed once again.
