Adam Cole was not offered new WWE contract and it doesn’t look like he is sticking around at this point. The former NXT Champion also took some steps on social media to further separate himself from WWE.

Cole has removed links to his WWE Shop store from his Twitter bio. His store is still active, because WWE has the right to sell a Superstar’s merchandise for a certain amount of time after their departure.

It appears that WWE also marked several pieces of merchandise on Cole’s shop to 25% off, but that’s nothing unusual. WWE is always running different sales on their store.

Cole’s WWE deal expired today, and he will be a hot free agent. The big question is how long he will remain unsigned. Since his deal expired and he signed a short extension, that also expired, there is no non-compete clause for him at this time.

We will have to see what’s next for Adam Cole, but CM Punk’s shoes certainly dropped a pretty big hint about what might be in the pipeline.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
