Paul Heyman is one of the most influential people in the world of WWE. If Heyman stands beside you in the ring, it means that you are getting the best promo possible in any circumstance. Having managed the likes of Big Show, AEW Superstar CM Punk, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, Heyman has always had an eye for special talent.

Heyman recently appeared on an episode of ‘Out of Character.’ He revealed that giving his father homage was the one thing he wanted to do upon his return. Heyman stated:

I paid homage to my father when I came back in 2012. (When) I called myself ‘the advocate’. I was no longer Brock Lesnar’s agent, I was his advocate because I witnessed my father in court. My father was a personal injury attorney which is an advocate.

Paul Heyman then went on to reveal that he asked for Brock Lesnar’s approval on him playing his father. Apparently, The Beast Incarnate has a heart, as he allowed Heyman to play ‘The Advocate.’

When I came back in 2012, I said to Brock, “I hope it’s okay with you. I want to be your advocate. That’s who my father is, and I played my father in that role. Like my father performing in front of a jury, and I perform in front of the jury of the audience in front of the WWE universe. So, that’s where ‘advocate’ comes from.

Heyman has been a dominating force in WWE. Olympics Gold Medalist Gable Steveson revealed that he wants to be “Paul Heyman” guy, if he ever gets signed to WWE. Heyman is also in shaky territory as Brock Lesnar made his return while Paul was representing WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
