Paul Wight, the former Big Show in WWE, signed with AEW because Vince McMahon’s company had nothing for him to do. He became a commentator on AEW Dark: Elevation, but Wight was able to stay out of the action. That changed tonight.

The Factory cut a promo in the ring during AEW Dynamite this week, and then things turned sour. Tony Schiavone conducted the interview, but the QT Marshall played dirty in a big way. Schiavone’s son was at ringside, and they dragged him into the squared circle.

After roughing up Schiavone’s son a bit, Schiavone apologized for all the things that he’s said about The Factory. Then QT Marshall said, “apology not accepted” before hitting Schiavone’s son with a Diamond Cutter.

Suddenly, Paul Wight came down to the ring. The Pittsburgh crowd popped huge as the big man got in the ring. Aaron Solo stepped up to the former Big Show and he took a chokeslam.

This was a big moment for Paul Wight in AEW and it is further proof that his wrestling days likely aren’t over yet.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
