We’re only a couple weeks away from WWE SummerSlam and the card is beginning to take shape. Sadly, this is one of those weeks where WWE has announced little to nothing ahead of tonight’s RAW so there isn’t must to preview. That said, we do know Charlotte Flair will address her loss to Nikki A.S.H last week, and Bobby Lashley will talk about his upcoming SummerSlam match with Goldberg.

Randy Orton teased his return to the red brand and we can expect more from Drew McIntyre, Rhea Ripley, AJ Styles & Omos, and more. And that’s the sparse preview for tonight’s RAW. Our live coverage will begin from 8PM right here. Let us know if you’re excited about any of it and remember to hit the refresh link below and enjoy the show!

RAW

The August 9th 2021 edition of Monday Night RAW opens with none other than the returning Viper, Randy Orton!

The Future Hall of Famer comes to the ring with a smile on his face and gets the crowd all riled-up. Orton welcomes us to the show and immediately out comes Matt Riddle and he’s very excited. Riddle says he missed Orton but where did he go? At first he thought he was hiding like a big, girthy anaconda, but then he thought he might have just gone on vacation. Regardless he’s really glad to see him again because 25 years ago his step-dad left to get milk and got lost and never came back. Now he’s back they can start teaming again.

Riddle gets a “Randy” chant going. Orton asks Riddle why he thinks he’d ever want to team with him again? They had a few matches, made a few shirts, got a good buzz… on social media. But Randy works better on his own. Riddle looks gutted and asks if Randy doesn’t want to team with him anymore. Orton says they were a good team. The fans chant “RK-Bro” but out comes AJ Styles & Omos.

Styles says this situation is so embarassing and weird that you can taste it. He calls Riddle dumb for not understanding that Randy is a snake that bites everyone he ever comes in contact with. AJ says he thought Omos breaking his scooter or beating him around would break Riddle, but now he knows it’s a broken heart that stops Riddle. Orton tells AJ to shut up, he’s been watching him talk trash for two months from home. The only thing bigger than AJ’s ego is that “jackass” Omos.

Styles offers to wrestle Orton tonight to determine who runs RAW. Randy accepts and tells him he’s going to do it with an RKO. Orton attempts an RKO on AJ but he slides from the ring. Orton waits behind Omos and wants an RKO but Omos shoves him off. Orton leaves the ring and talks trash to Omos while Riddle waits behind him. Riddle then looks for an RKO but Omos stays on his feet, grabs him by the throat and hits a chokeslam. Riddle rolls out beside Orton and the Viper just says “that wasn’t smart now, was it kid?”

Sad Baron Corbin is backstage and he’s here to challenge Drew McIntyre. He says the RAW fans might nt know but he’s lost everything; his crown, cars, house, and then his wife and kids left. He’s been sleeping in a production truck and Jinder Mahal called him. He’s not keen on getting in the ring with Drew, who might cut his head off with a sword, but he needs the money. That match is next!

Drew McIntyre cuts a promo backstage in which he calls Baron Corbin pathetic and says he has no sympathy for him. Corbin is a terrible person who he once heard brag about beating a homeless man, stealing his money and stealing his dog. Drew then takes a serious turn and tells the story that his sword is called Angela after his mother. His mother who passed away from cancer a few years ago and she never complained once. So imagine how he feels about a loser like Corbin, and if he’s pissed, so is Angela.

Randy Orton is backstage and Riddle stops him. Riddle asks if they can still be friends, saying he bought him a scooter and he wants to be in his corner tonight. Riddle begs him and Orton stays quiet, so Riddle says “bro, you can’t be serious?” Orton says he’s serious and don’t call him bro.

The All Mighty WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, and MVP come to the ring. MVP says last week the All Might blessed the Universe with a blockbuster main event for SummerSlam. However there are some false narratives being spun. For example, Goldberg didn’t raise his hands to Lashley because he was scared. Then he speared him for no reason other than he’s a coward. MVP denies threatening Goldberg’s son, Gage. All he did was tell Gage to dissuade his father from getting in the ring with Lashley.

MVP says Goldberg shouldn’t bring his son to the arena if he’s scared of him getting involved. MVP sells the spear and says he hasn’t been able to laugh or even bend over since last Monday. MVP tells Gage not to come to SummerSlam because Lashley will end Goldberg’s career. The upside is that Gage will have his father at all of his baseball games and they can sit on the couch together reminiscing about the time he didn’t care enough about his father to prevent the beating. Lashley says Goldberg isn’t next at SummerSlam, he’s done.

Charlotte is backstage and asked about her actions. Flair says that, as she watched the two of them tear each other apart, she saw an opportunity. She desn’t have to be pinned to lose at SummerSlam and she doesn’t want to have any outs. Last week she got beat, shown a little vulnerability, and somehow that has erased all of her achievements? People can keep wishing for her downfall but she’s still going to walk out of SummerSlam as the RAW Women’s Champion.
