Adam Cole’s WWE NXT contract expired in July, but he agreed to work through SummerSlam. No long term deal was extended to Cole, but a high power meeting was scheduled with Vince McMahon prior to SmackDown this week.

According toFightful, word is that “the meeting went well.” Vince McMahon also seemed to have “taken a liking” to the former NXT Champion “on a personal level.”

The report also stated that there have been pitches within WWE for Cole to make a main roster jump if he wants to sign a new deal.
