AEW and WWE keep track of each other and it seems that they had a closer eye on their competition than they let on. A recently surfaced video shows that AEW Dynamite was being watched during NXT’s television taping.

Cody Rhodes previously stated that he didn’t want NXT on backstage at AEW Dynamite. It seems that did not apply to watching AEW action for NXT.

A recently released video shows WWE producers watching AEW Dynamite on a screen during a taping of the black and gold brand’s show. The clip is very short, but it is apparent that AEW Dynamite was being monitored.

AEW and NXT are not on during the same timeslot anymore, so they don’t have to worry about that head-to-head competition. This video appeared to be taken on February 19th, 2020. Roderick Strong and Velveteen Dream were wrestling on NXT while Cody Rhodes and Wardlow were in a cage match on Dynamite.

The video is over a year old, but it has finally surfaced. We’ll have to see if any more videos comes out in the future, but this is a pretty good piece of evidence so far.
