PWG returned last night for their first show since the pandemic. That LA show included a big surprise as Malakai Black joined the Mystery Vortex.

Flamita attacked Bandido after the main event match and then the lights went out. Super Dragon was suddenly in the ring when the lights came back on. Then the lights went out again and Malakai Black was there for the save.

Black then grabbed the microphone and said that he will be back to PWG on September 26th for their next show. He did not have an actual match last night, but it was certainly a huge moment for fans.

Malakai Black signed with AEW after WWE released him. This marked the first non-AEW appearance that Black has made since joining Tony Khan’s company. AEW allows their stars to work for other indie companies, including PWG. It looks like Malakai Black is still checking off his indie bucket list, and he’s far from finished.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
