X-Pac Talks WWE Canceling Green Kane Gimmick

Kane has gone through many different looks in his career, but he never went full green on television. It almost became a reality, and photos even exist of Kane in a full green get-up.

That green attire would have been connected to X-Pac, but it never made a full debut. Looking back, Sean Waltman can understand why fans wanted to see Kane in green, but it wouldn’t have been good for his character.

During Sean Waltman’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer spoke about Kane’s green attire and why it was probably for the best that it never happened for real.

“It would not have been good for Kane. Maybe everyone could have said ‘Oh, we get to see him in green’ one time, but he is not f*ckin’ in DX! He’s Kane!” He’s the ‘Big Red Machine,’ he is not the f*ckin’ ‘Big Green Machine,’ for f*ck’s sake!”

The Big Green Machine might have been a fun detour for Kane, but they would have needed to steer him back to red eventually. Maybe it’s for the best that this idea never came to fruition, but at least we got some great shots out of the deal.
