WWE’s August 21st event will be a big show in Las Vegas, but it could also be an occasion at your local cinema. The movie theater industry took a drastic hit during the pandemic, but theater owners have figured out that showing live events is a way to get people in those seats.
AEW has aired a couple of their pay-per-view events at select cinemas. Now WWE is doing the same as they announced a partnership with Iconic Events Now. WWE is airing SummerSlam live in theaters.
You can click here for more information and a list of all theaters across the United States where SummerSlam can be seen live. The do not have locations in all 50 states, but many states have several location options.
We will have to see if this SummerSlam situation is a success. It could certainly amount to a very loud night at the theater for anyone who shows up with the intention of watching a different film.
Now fans who don’t want to subscribe to Peacock, or WWE blocked their VPN from getting the WWE Network, have another place they can go and watch the biggest party of the summer.
