Vickie Guerrero was originally supposed to be Andrade’s manager in AEW. That was Tony Khan’s intention as Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio while alluding to the fact that some complaints might have led to this switch-up.

“I guess sometimes when you complain a lot things happen. [Chavo] was not the surprise, this was a change. Tony Khan made a change from Vickie Guerrero to a new manager, and the new manager is Chavo Guerrero. So, that was not the original plan. The original plan was Vickie Guerrero.”

Vickie Guerrero was the first to introduce Andrade El Idolo in AEW, but she did not accompany him to the ring this week. Vickie was still busy on the program as she was with Nyla Rose in her match against Britt Baker, but Chavo Guerrero Jr. is now paired with El Idolo.
