Brian Pillman Jr. and his tag team partner Griff Garrison were just signed to AEW contracts. Now both members of the Hollywood Blondes are a part of the AEW roster, but the company had to wait a bit before that could happen.

AEW’s name was not included under any prohibited companies list in MLW contracts. That is what allowed MJF to wrestle for AEW since the company’s start despite him being under MLW contract. The same is true for Brian Pillman Jr.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that since Brian Pillman Jr.’s MLW contract expired then AEW could come in with their own deal. This took a bit of waiting before that could happen.

Brian Pillman Jr. signed his deal here. This was late in coming because Pillman had an existing contract with MLW. MLW allowed him to work AEW and had stopped using him some time back, but from a legal standpoint, it wasn’t until this past week that AEW could sign him. Griff Garrison was also signed to a full-time deal.

The Hollywood Blondes are likely to remain a force in the AEW tag team division for some time to come. Pillman and Garrison are now both under deals with the company, but there is no word about Julia Hart’s contract status as of this writing. She might still be under a per appearance agreement for now.
