WALTER is NXT UK Champion, and he isn’t dropping that belt any time soon, but that doesn’t mean he will be able to defend the title.
A championship match wad set up between WALTER and Ilja Dragunov, but that match is not happening. The competitors got into a backstage brawl, and WALTER’s hand was “severely” injured in the process.
WWE sent out a social media blast to inform fans about this difficult situation for the NXT UK Champion.
BREAKING NEWS WWE medical staff has confirmed @NXTUK Champion @WalterAUT has suffered a severe injury to his left hand and has been deemed unfit to compete for his scheduled rematch with @UNBESIEGBAR_ZAR.
We will continue monitoring this ongoing situation. Hopefully, WALTER won’t be forced to drop that title, but it might be the only way to get it off of him. WALTER has carried the NXT UK Title for 830 days at this point.
