Chris Jericho is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world as he has competed all over the world in various promotions, including WWE. He has competed for over three decades and has worked with the best of the best in the pro wrestling world.

When AEW came into inception back in 2019, Chris Jericho was at the forefront and gave it the star power it needed to truly start turning heads. Needless to say, Chris Jericho has been a huge influence in the company.

While speaking to Dan Le Batard Show, AEW President Tony Khan talked about Chris Jericho’s influence in the company, adding that Jericho is one of the most valuable people in the pro wrestling world.

”Jericho has been a great investment. Chris is one of the all-time great wrestlers and still one of the great wrestlers today and also one of the greatest minds in wrestling. In addition to being in some of the most famous matches in AEW like the Stadium Stampede or his title win over Hangman Page or defending the title against Cody Rhodes or losing the title to Jon Moxley, the Blood & Guts match, Chris has been in a lot of big matches in AEW. He’s also, with his mind, helped me organize AEW. He’s brought in great names, helped with story ideas. He’s one of the most valuable people in wrestling. I was very fortunate to be linked up with Chris,”

The trust the company had in Chris Jericho was on full display after he became the first-ever AEW World Champion and carried the company for several months. He will remain one of the mainstays of AEW television and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
