WWE needs good people around and they want to keep those people with the company who they see a lot of value in. Stephanie McMahon apparently told two former Superstars that they would never have to worry about their jobs again.

While talking to Wrestling Inc, Rodney Mack revealed that Stephanie McMahon told Jazz and himself that they had jobs for life with WWE. Steph apparently told the two that they were great to have around, but they were fired about three weeks after that conversation took place.

“I have no idea, still to this day. Jazz and I both were told, I think it was by Stephanie. She pulled us to the side and said that we had a job for life. We were great to be around. We were the two most believable people on the roster. All that stuff. I think it was three weeks later or a month or something, not precise, that we got fired. In fact, I think it was right before my birthday.”

A lot of things go on behind the scenes at WWE that can lead to the right hand not knowing what the left is doing. It is possible that Stephanie McMahon would have never fired Rodney Mack and Jazz, but that sentiment obviously didn’t extend to everyone in a position of power with the company.

WWE has fired a lot of people in the past few months. They axed a number of Superstars from the roster since April and they also fired a ton of people from backstage staffer positions. We’ll have to see if that firing spree calms down as WWE seeks to eliminate bulk off their bottom line. Right now is not the time to promise anyone job security in WWE, that’s for sure.
