Taz uses his cell phone for a lot of his daily life just like a lot of people. Chances are you’re reading this on a phone right now, and so is Taz. He recently had a scary experience where the cell phone gods smiled on him in a big way.
A lot of things can go wrong in an elevator, and getting into one is trickier than it seems. There is a slot of doom between elevators and the floor where it’s nothing but elevator shaft until you reach the unforgiving ground below. This plot device has been used in many movies to create elevator suspense.
Taz stepped onto an elevator today and he dropped his cell phone. We’re sure that his heart dropped to his stomach as he watched that device, which likely holds a majority of his life, fall to the ground. Thankfully, he was able to report that he was just able to avoid disaster.
I got on an elevator this morning, as doors started to close I dropped my phone and it ALMOST fell down the wide slot down to the shaft!! I couldn’t believe it, got lucky…thank you cell phone gods!
This is the kind of story we needed to see today. During times when there are so many trials and tribulations it’s those little victories, like not losing your cell phone to a deadly elevator fate, that keep us going.
Congratulations to Taz for escaping the terrible ordeal of having to replace his cell phone.
