Mercedes Martinez Taken To Hospital After Scary Spot During WWE NXT

As seen on this week’s episode of NXT, Mercedes Martinez and Jake Atlas partnered up and squared off against Xia Li and Boa. Unfortunately, not everything went according to plan in the match.

Martinez has been feuding with Tian Sha for a while now and Atlas provided help on this week’s show. However, during the match, Martinez was on the end of a hard kick from Xia Li and that seemingly knocked her out.

Mercedes Martinez immediately fell to the ground headfirst, which shocked many fans. Now it seems an update regarding her condition has been provided by Fightful’s Sean Sapp.

Sapp took to Twitter and revealed that Martinez was checked in the back and staff were told she was being taken to the hospital for further medical evaluation.

“Mercedes Martinez was checked in the back and talent/staff were told she’s headed to the hospital for further evaluation.”

We certainly hope Mercedes Martinez didn’t suffer a concussion and be forced to miss out on television time. We will keep you updated on her condition.
