Update: WWE is now denying reports of Canyon Ceman’s departure from the company.

Original: WWE is making some big changes backstage and a huge name departed today. We previously reported that Sonjay Dutt has left his role as WWE producer, one he had since 2019, but an even larger departure followed.

According to F4WOnline, Canyon Ceman has left WWE. He was the company’s Senior vice president of talent development. Ceman was also featured on WWE television in the past where he was highlighted in that role.

Ceman’s departure from WWE is sudden and “details are still light” regarding what happened. That being said, this situation isn’t a huge surprise to many.

Details are still light as to Ceman’s departure but shouldn’t be considered a surprise given the corporate shake-up within the WWE front office over the last few months.

Canyon Ceman has been with WWE since March 2012. He was hired on as senior director of talent development at the time. He received two promotions since then during his time with the company.

Prior to entering WWE, Canyon Ceman was known for beach volleyball for 14 years where he was CFO of the league for two years.

This is a surprising development and we will continue covering this ongoing story here at Ringside News.

Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
