WWE cut Marina Shafir from her contract during this week’s releases. Her firing came just after a time when they were discussing plans for her. Obviously, any ongoing creative situation didn’t play into WWE’s decision about who they will fire.

Marina Shafir’s name was among others that included Ever Rise, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Killian Dain, and more. Shafir didn’t react to her release initially, but she did comment the next morning about what a “cold world” it is.

It’s a cold world. Good thing I was born in Moldova. Thank you to everyone who reached out and thank you for the opportunity @WWENXT. I will continue to be the hardest worker in the motherf*cking room, but now i need to be keen. I’m not done.

Shafir also made it very clear that she is not done with pro wrestling either. She might be done with WWE right now, but she is still in the family because her husband Roderick Strong is still with the black and gold brand as a member of The Diamond Mine.
