WWE cleaned out a lot of staff in recent memory, firing over 60 in one swoop as they consolidated departments into one division. They also saw a few executives get fired as well. The company is not done with those cuts.
Jon Alba reports that WWE is releasing even more staffers today. It is unclear who is getting fired at this point. They will continue this under the guise of “budget cutting” reasons.
It is unclear at this time if WWE is firing more staffers or Superstars as well.
WWE is releasing more personnel today. Unsure of who. This is a continues the cost-cutting by the company we’ve seen the last couple of months.
Sean Sapp reported that some talent could be cut today, “There are more WWE cuts coming. Staff and possibly talent.”
A couple of Twitter accounts such as Wrestle Votes and Andrew Zarian both tweeted out sad emojis and ominous, yet unclear messages. This is very likely what those were talking about.
It’s terrible when anyone loses their jobs, especially when a billion-dollar company that keeps racking in tremendous profit is doing the firing. We will continue monitoring this ongoing story here at Ringside News.
