WWE’s Plan For Edge At SummerSlam

Edge got a huge babyface reaction at WrestleMania, likely the biggest of the two-day event. He will return as a babyface in time for SummerSlam and the company has big plans.

The Rated R Superstar is promoted for the company’s return to live touring in Houston. It is currently unknown just hot many appearances they will book Edge for, but live crowds could give a huge pop in the build toward SummerSlam. That is the intention as WWE likely has a big heel opponent booked for Edge on August 21st.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed Jon Alba’s initial report and pointed toward SummerSlam as Edge’s next big match. It was noted that the WWE Hall of Famer looks to be facing one of the top SmackDown heels

We’ll have to see what WWE’s plan is for Edge on the blue brand. There are a couple of heels he could go for, but all of his matches need to matter as well.
