WWE is always looking for more ways that they can draw viewership and it seems that their television networks might have some ideas. There is now a push within the company to produce more gimmicked shows, and some themes are coming from Fox and USA Network.

According to a report fromFightful, Fox and NBC Universal have both been pushing for more themed shows on WWE programming. NBCU wants to use more “NBC Sports integrated pitches” which would see them integrate NASCAR drivers into the WWE program in some way.

Fox and USA/NBC were a big part of the push for this to happen, and there are several other NBC Sports-integrated pitches being made.

It was also reported that having an NFL night was proposed for the launch of Sunday Night Football. They could use football themes for matches and NFL players and commentators as well.

There are a lot of ideas floating around in WWE right now. This report didn’t even mention the possibility of King of the Ring returning or Cyber Sunday-like event. We’ll have to see which idea the company ends up going with.

What’s your take on this situation? Does WWE need more gimmicked shows? Sound off in the comments!
