WWE debuted Piper Niven on RAW this week as Eva Marie’s new ally. She won a match for Eva Marie that the former Total Divas star was actually supposed to be in. That loss for Naomi sparked another #NaomiDeservesBetter movement, because she was squashed by a debuting Superstar who didn’t even have a name yet.

The company was coy about naming Piper Niven. There was a report from Fightful that the company was going with “Doudrop,” but that wasn’t the name she was given. Odds are that name is coming after all.

WWE registered trademark for Doudrop on Monday. It has not officially been given to Piper Niven just yet, but that wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the name change happens after all. Some fans are certainly going to groan about this decision.

We’ll have to see if WWE changes their minds about this new name, but it seems that they have taken it as far as getting the new moniker trademarked. It’s likely that they will end up using it.
