Gangrel made an announcement recently that he is no longer connected with Gangrel’s Wrestling Academy. This was a shocking announcement for fans who have known the Vampire Warrior by that name for decades.

Ringside News looked into this situation and we were told that Gangrel informed his students on June 2nd that they will be finishing up their training with him at Magic City Wrestling. This is a much smaller facility than the former school.

Gangrel also told people that he “doesn’t own his own name anymore.” We were told that Craig Charne was the owner of the school and he recently sold it. Now Gangrel is off to his next chapter in life, but he is apparently doing it without his name.

There is now apparently questions about who owns Gangrel’s name. He stated in the video message that he will carry on.

WWE did not own the Gangrel name. GANGREL’S WRESTLING ASYLUM INC. is the last recorded owner of the Gangrel name. Now that is apparently up in the air, because Gangrel’s name might have come with the sale of his school.

Hopefully, they can figure out this situation so Gangrel doesn’t have to drop the name that he’s been going as for practically his entire career.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
